This project stages duos that reflect various social situations and question our relationship to the gaze. What remains of our ego in a world where the approval of others dominates?
Looks can intimidate us, make us uncomfortable, but also offer us strength, joy, or tenderness. In the age of screens and after the Covid-19 pandemic, eye contact has become rare, almost awkward. Each pair explores this fragility through a silent dialogue, enriched by a text that sheds light on the issues specific to each duo.
By varying the styles, I seek to evoke the infinite diversity of situations and personalities. This project invites us to rediscover the power of the gaze, a discreet yet profoundly human language.
